Roxan, who was born and raised in Cambria Heights, is expressive in dialects from Jamaica, North Carolina and Queens.

Her parents are Jamaican and she moved to North Carolina for six years for her studies. But when she came back home two years ago, her family was telling her to change her speech because she was in New York now. Still, she’ll bust out the south when she’s on the phone with her North Carolina girlfriends.

Music is Roxan’s first love. She studied opera for 11 years and sang gospel at the Assembly of Zion in Jamaica.

"It fills an empty void," Roxan said.

Now this soprano is singing jazz at the Flushing branch of the Brooklyn Conservatory of Music. These days, Roxan is working on a demo reel and is hoping to strike a record deal. She writes her own poetry and lyrics and reads at open mic nights.

Besides an angelic voice, Roxan has great legs. Her freckles and big smile are also a part of her allure. But she hides one of her attributes with a sports bra most of the time. "I’m full figured. I like my breasts. I love who I am, who I’ve grown to be."

Though modeling has not yet brought home the bacon, Roxan imagines herself in a Gap TV commercial or a FUBU magazine ad. "There’s no limits to what I want to do."

Surprisingly, Roxan is single and she keeps it so because she has no time for a boyfriend. But her man has to be "responsible, physically attractive" and "must be an inch taller."

Roxan attended Bayside HS and IS 109 in Queens Village.

To stay in shape, Roxan runs the track at a local high school with her Chihuahua, Sassie.

But luckily, Roxan eats everything that her eyes feast upon without gaining weight. She often dines at Bickle’s, West Indian restaurant, and Gabby’s pizzeria, both in Hollis. She is a frequent visitor of the movie theaters in Fresh Meadows because she loves gory movies.

"I love the calmness of Queens. It’s not as fast paced as Manhattan," said Roxan.

Monica Lewinsky is still making the rounds, even if it is through her handbag originals.

One of her drab brown bags showed up at the tables of a silent auction at the classy Douglaston Club for a benefit held on behalf of the NYHQ Pediatric Department.

Lewinsky’s donation joined those made by such notables as Donald Trump and Liz Taylor.

The bag’s only attributes identifying Monica’s Moniker were the "impossible to remove label" at the front, sexy black fringe at the bottom, and the black and red fabric on the underside of the handle resembling a garter.

The opening bid fixed by auctioneers was $150. Estimated cost of materials, maybe twenty bucks. Closing bid — none.

Question - What does Flushing Assemblywoman Ann-Margaret Carrozza do in her spare time? Answer - She’s a Euro Teen Slut. At least, that’s what District 19 City Councilman elect Tony Avella thinks. Well, sort of.

On Avella’s campaign site, www.tonyavella.com, pictures were shown of each elected official who endorsed Avella, with headshots doubling as links to the officials’ websites. Carrozza endorsed Avella, so her picture was shown amongst the other politicians who did so, most of them men. Coincidence? Maybe not. Site visitors who clicked Carrozza’s picture were sent to a "Euro Teen Sluts" pornographic website with some very unpolitical photos.

Avella campaign representatives called the connection "a mistake." Carrozza representatives assured QConf that the Assemblywoman has not begun a new career on street corners. The problem occurred because Carrozza’s website is at www.nydems.org. The Euro Teens porno site can be accessed at www.nydem.org. The "s" in "dems" was somehow dropped from the link on Avella’s site, turning a respectable Assemblywoman into a morally challenged European teen.

Evan Stavisky of Parkside Consulting Group which represents Avella, said, "Clearly the site was either tampered with or the volunteer who designed it made an innocent mistake. We are investigating how it was able to happen."

For those who want to see the error, don’t bother. Avella’s site was taken down, indefinitely.

Too bad Tony, it might have helped party enrollment!

While Democratic District 20 Councilwoman Julia Harrison prepared to be term-limited out of office this week after 16 years at the helm, her chief of staff John Watts was looking for new ways to stay in City Hall just a little while longer.

Watts apparently crossed party lines to work with Republican Council candidate Ryan Walsh in his bid for District 20’s seat. Although Watts did not officially state he was working for Walsh, the Democrat introduced himself to a QConf reporter over the phone as "John Watts over at the Ryan Walsh campaign." When the reporter tried to reach Watts at Harrison’s office, the receptionist said he was on vacation.

The question is; why did a Democrat help a Republican try to win a City Council seat? Could it be because Watts dislikes Democratic Councilman-elect John Liu as much as his boss Harrison does? Have her controversial views on Asians rubbed off on Watts? The buzz around Flushing is that the real reason Watts is helping Walsh is because he was promised a position in the young Republican’s administration if he did. Any truth to these rumors? Both Walsh and Watts said they haven’t heard anything about it. Funny. Everyone else has.

With the Sept. 11 attack, historian Jeff Kroessler had to make some changes to his upcoming book, "New York Year by Year: A Chronicle of the Great Metropolis."

Kroessler, who earned his doctorate with a dissertation on Queens, starts with the year 1524, when Verrazano arrived and chronicled history right up to the end of 2001. He had already handed in his manuscript for the book set to come out next June. The book includes the creation of Jackson Heights and the Amazin’ Mets winning the 1986 World Series. But when the darkest day in city’s history arrived, Kroessler realized he had to change the tone and ending of the book.

The book includes the Twin Towers attack but Kroessler refrains from going into it. "With big events like this you can’t go into tremendous detail. It’s got to be simple." He had included other tragedies such as the great fires of 1845 and 1776 and the Triangle Shirt Waist Factory.
