Bayside bombshell Tamara is a Queens girl through and through.

She’s lived in Bayside for the past six years — after moving there from Ozone Park.

This 19-year-old Hunter College student may be undecided about her major, but she is sure of herself.

She got into modeling because "everybody" was telling her she should do it.

"Some friends needed help with their [photography] portfolios," she said about breaking herself in at being photographed.

Soon after, she hooked up with her agency UModels.com after visiting their website.

Tamara has been in the modeling business for the past two years doing mostly print work, she said.

For Tamara, life isn’t all work and no play.

She’s "really into the arts" — especially music.

Tamara likes to play piano with other musicians and friends and is putting to good use the music lessons she took when she was younger.

She’s also a self-described poetry fanatic and became interested in the written word while attending Bayside High school.

Tamara told us she likes to spend her free time hanging out with friends and going to places like Oasis Café on Northern Boulevard in Flushing and local diners.

When we caught up with Tamara she told us she recently saw the movie "A Beautiful Mind" at Sony Theaters at Bay Terrace in Bayside.

A tough critic, Tamara called the movie "good," and she was hoping Russell Crowe would win an Oscar nod for his performance.

NakedNews.com, the website featuring beautiful women who deliver hard news while changing from their corporate suits to their birthdays suits, recently announced the addition of a Queens girl to their list of anchorwomen.

The 27-year-old Queens-born Michelle Pantoliano joined Naked News in January.

Pantoliano, a broadcast journalist who holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Broadcast & Communications from the State University of New York at Oswego, was formerly a reporter for "63 News," a nightly production of WMBC-TV which airs on cable television in the Metro area.

According to NakedNews, Michelle, who now lives in Toronto, Canada, read about the website with "nothing to hide" in USA Today in April of 2001.

She reportedly visited the site and liked what she saw.

According to the NakedNews website, "Michelle sees working in the nude as simply part of the job description. Her ultimate goal is to be the next Barbara Walters, and she believes that her experience at Naked News is a step in the right direction. Michelle stays fit through a combination of belly dancing, kick boxing and weight lifting. She is a fan of suspense novels, prefers to rent movies and loves to travel. Naked News is delighted to have someone with Michelle’s talents as part of the team."

President George W. Bush said that the 9/11 terrorists must have gotten the idea that the U.S. was a weak-minded nation from watching Queens born Jerry Springer’s television show, according to a recent story floating over the news wires.

"They didn’t think we were a nation that could conceivably sacrifice for something greater than ourselves, that we were soft, that we were so self-absorbed and so materialistic that we wouldn’t defend anything we believed in. As you most likely know, the TV show, featuring Forest Hills High School grad Jerry Springer, is packed with bleeped-out dialogue and on-stage brawls on subjects like "first time fantasies," "angry lovers attack," "bring on the bisexuals," and "scorned lovers fight back," according to a Reuters story and the talk show host’s website.

After the attacks, our country appeared to unite in a way many of us have never seen before.

Guess you can’t judge a nation by its trash talk.

Spotted last week in Flushing Meadows-Corona Park during a downpour was a camera crew filming an episode of television-pilot "Queens Supreme" a "dramedy" set inside a Queens courtroom.

Producers of the show have said in published reports that the project aims "to do for legal drama what ‘M*A*S*H’ did for medical drama."

A rep at the show recently told QConf that "Queens Supreme" is in the "earliest phase," of production and no airdate had been set as of yet.

Rumor has it that the show will star Robert Loggia who has appeared in some big screen hits including "Scarface," "Big," and "Officer and a Gentleman."
