Hours: Open seven days a week, Sunday-Thursday 6 a.m.-11p.m.; Friday and Saturday from 9 a.m. -3:00 a.m.

Although Aradenny’s specializes in Dominican and Central American dishes, their menu boasts a greater array of dinner specials.

When you enter the restaurant the decor is cozy and simple with tables easily accommodating two to four parties, but can easily be rearranged to accommodate larger groups.

Appetizers on the menu include dishes such as Shrimp Seviche, Potato Salad, Mixed Salad, Shrimp Cocktail, Lobster Cocktail and 1/2 dozen fresh clams.

The menu also has a great selection of meat dishes that range in price from $6.50 to $14.95 and include Onion Steak, Pepper Steak, Breaded Steak, Grilled T-bone, Filet Mignon, Fried Pork, and Smoked Pork Chops. These dishes are served with a choice of rice and beans, plantains, mashed potatoes, or vegetables.

There is also a good selection of chicken plates including Chicken Breast Ala Cordon Bleu, Roasted Chicken, Chicken Breast with Garlic Sauce, Chicken Parmigiana, Grilled Chicken Breast, and Barbecue Chicken. All chicken dishes range in price from $6 to $11.95.

Pasta lovers need not worry since the restaurant also carries a selection of Italian dishes such as Spaghetti with Shrimps, Spaghetti in Tomato Sauce, Spaghetti with Lobster, and Spaghetti with Clams. Pasta dishes range in price from $6.95 to $26.95.

However, the restaurant has a surprisingly large selection of seafood.

Some of these dishes include Shrimp in Garlic Sauce, Stewed Crabmeat, Grilled Scallops, Octopus in Hot Sauce, Stuffed Clams, Steamed Red Snapper, Grilled Shrimps, Shrimps Butterfly Style, Lobster in Creole Sauce, and Lobster a la Oriental. All seafood dishes range in price from $7 to $27.95.

I finally decided to sample the Spaghetti with Shrimps and a soft drink for $14.95.

All in all, the meal was delightful and ultimately filling.
