A Jazzy Taste Of The Tropics

Bickles Restaurant and Lounge

Jamaica, NY 11433

Hours: Mon- Thurs. 11am to 11pm

Sun noon to 11 pm

The restaurant that has brought Southeast Queens residents delicious Jamaican-Chinese cuisine for years will now provide an added dimension - live Jazz music every Sunday beginning March 31.

As if the eloquent restaurant and lounge with vegetarian, seafood, and traditional dishes from the Caribbean isle wasn’t enough, the addition of music to the special parties and catering at the establishment will be hard to beat in Jamaica.

Bring your dinner party to Bickles - the Jamaican noun for food - and start with Peppered Shrimp or Stamp n Go, which are great codfish fritter hors d’ouevres.

If you have a taste for lobster, shrimp or lo mein, try those delights as a main course with your choice of white rice or rice and peas, accompanied by an appetizer. Fried plantains are my favorite, with a soup of the day and a vegetable.

Not too big on meat?  Vegetarians will love the tofu lo mein and Ital stew, which is only served on Fridays.  Reasonably priced dishes go hand-in-hand to accommodate all dietary habits.

Health conscious people will like special celery, broccoli, and cucumber breakfast juices, as well as great punches and smoothies like the Viagara Passion, Magnum and Slami Tami.

Time for dessert!  Indulge in your favorite flavor of Caribbean Pride - Taste of the Tropics Ice Cream, or try either Jamaican rum cake or carrot cake, which are simply to die for.

Don’t take my word for it. Go!  Bickles restaurant in Jamaica, Bickles restaurant in Jamaica, Bickles restaurant in Jamaica!
