For the last four years, “Crystal Curry House” has successfully satisfied the taste buds of Southeast Queens’ true curry enthusiasts by making it its mission to serve all its dishes with curry.

As a newly anointed curry devotee, I had an insatiable craving for that spice and could not wait to see - for myself - if the buzz surrounding “Crystal Curry House” was truly deserving.

The restaurant can be best described as a small sports bar. There is a pool table by the front, a big screen television mounted against the wall and a small bar by the counter. There are also seven tables, which easily accommodate parties of four and two. At dinnertime, patrons are given a choice of ordering from the Hot Roti, soup and dinner menus.

After much deliberation, I ordered the Goat special. The dinner was served with a large plate of white rice, a side dish of Goat with curry, a bowl of Dhall, and a small plate of salad (consisting of slices of tomato and cucumbers). To drink, I ordered a glass of Cream Soda.

At first, I was surprised by the quantity of food that was served; however all surprise soon faded with the first smells of curry and I realized that this was a good deal.

So, if you ever find yourself craving for a little curry, go immediately to “Crystal Curry House” and I guarantee you that your taste buds will not be disappointed.
