Take A Break At El Marinero

El Marinero Coffee Shop
89-18 Sutphin Blvd.
658-4124

Cuisine: General

Hours: 8 a.m. to 10 p.m.

El Marinero Coffee Shop serves up your usual diner food with a little Latin flare highlighted by an El Salvadorian specialty section of the menu which consists of pupusa, enchilada and tomal, with different meats—chicken, pork, beef.

There is, also, a Greek section with different styles of souvlaki and gyros.

Other than that, the menu is pretty generic — burgers, sandwiches, french fries, salad, fish meals, chicken meals, beef meals, pork dishes, muffins, ice cream.

I had the beef stew with rice. The stew was tomato-based. It was a served with new potatoes. It was nice. The meat was lean, coming apart with ease. It all tasted good.

The prices were right, too. With a Coke, the whole meal cost $6. And it was served with a smile.

Located right opposite the Civil Court Building, El Marinero is a nice way to take a break from a hectic work day.
