At first glance it looks pretty much like a conventional bar and restaurant—bar, tables, televisions, juke box and alcohol. But, all looks aside, Georgetown is the first bar that I’ve been to that serves Chinese and West Indian food.

The "West Indian-Chinese" menu features fried rice dishes—chicken, beef, pork, shrimp, vegetable lo mein and chow mein dishes.

The West Indian menu is beans & rice with chicken (served only on Monday), beef curry(served only on Tuesday), shrimp curry (served only on Thursday), duck curry (served only on Friday), goat curry (served only on Saturday) and chicken curry (served only on Wednesday) which I sampled.

Curry dishes at Georgetown are served either with rice or roti. I had mine with rice. The chicken curry was curry stew packed with square-cut chicken.

The rice was served separately from the stew, allowing mixing to taste.

The entree was quite an interesting delight with big chunks of chicken with rice.

The curry tasted splendid.

The cost of the meal was $5.85 before taxes.

Georgetown has a room to rent for private parties.

It also caters.

The service is very friendly and attentive.

So, the next time you’re in the mood for an eclectic mix of West Indian-Chinese dishes, think about having a meal at Georgetown.
