We’ve all heard that breakfast is the most important meal of the day

And there’s one eatery in town that is making it easier to start the day off right with homemade muffins, salmon croquettes and omelets to go.

From 8 a.m. to 8 p.m., Riddick’s has a breakfast treat for you featuring corned beef hash, grits, home fries, French toast, pancakes and ham.

For lunch, diners can sample Virginia ham, pork chops, barbequed chicken, meat loaf or tuna salad.

Order a succulent side dish of collard greens, cabbage, candied yams, macaroni and cheese to accompany your meal.

And don’t miss out on the melt in your mouth corn bread.

On weekends have a seat in the catering restaurant to enjoy chicken and waffles, or chitterlings which are only served on Saturdays and Sundays. Room for dessert?

Riddick’s has a variety of cakes, including my favorite, chocolate cake.

Diners are not limited when selecting an after dinner treat – try the homemade peach cobbler, sweet potato pie or bread pudding.

Riddick’s Catering Restaurant adds more to the menu when it comes to serving up soul food for a party or affair.
